Christmas pics
I promise to try and get Christmas pics loaded later today or this weekend. With sick kids, sick mommy and other things going on in the house we haven't had time to do to much of anything lately.

Two years ago.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
Two years ago on this day, Jody and I sat on the couch watching movies and wondering what our other children were doing since they were spending this Christmas Eve with their other parent. All was quiet except for the sound of the movie when the door bell rang. When we opened the front door there wasn't a person there but an envelope from FedEx with our names on it. We weren't expecting anything, and being the goofy people we are we didn't think to look to see who it was from, so what a HUGE surprise it was to open it and see the first picture of our son. We set with tears in our eyes as we looked through our referral packet and oooohed and ahhhhed at our tiny, beautiful son. What a Christmas present we received that year and it just keeps on giving.
5 lbs and was 18 inches long. When we received
his referral package he was a day shy of being a
month old.
light of our lives and brings so much joy
to our family. Thanks for bringing so
much happiness and adventure into our
family sweet boy.
We hope everyone has a safe and
happy Christmas season.

Thought of the day
After doing a million loads of laundry today
I have decided that the world should become
a nudist colony. I am going on strike from this
stuff....UGGHHHHH.
Harper and the first Christmas get together of the year
Harper came over to play today while her mommy was at the doctor and Aiden didn't seem to think it was to cool to have to share his toys. I knew this was gonna be a rough few hours because these two fight like cats and dogs whenever they are together but once Aiden figured out he had to share they had a good ole time together.
We also had the first Christmas get together with daddy's family last night.

Since this is the time of year for families and friends to gather together I thought what better time then now to use this picture of my kiddos from last Christmas. This was Aiden's first Christmas home(2006) and it was the best Christmas we all had had in a very long time. We hope everyone is having a joyous holiday season so far. Our trees are up, shoppings done, Christmas cards mailed and the gifts are wrapped and under the trees. We have even mailed out the gifts that had to be mailed. We have our first Christmas get together with Jody's family on the 18th and then have our Christmas with my family on the 24th at mom's and then Christmas at my brother's on Christmas day. Then we have New Years and hope to be in Ohio celebrating with the best of friends. Happy Holidays everyone.

Little boys and their toys
Aiden got a belated birthday gift from my ex inlaws...yes they still come around. They were so happy that "they" finally had a grandchild that was a boy in the family. I guess its nice to still be considered family after being divorced from their son for 10 yrs now. Anyway, you would of thought they hung the moon the way Aiden ooooheeed and ahhhhhed over this race car set. Him and daddy played with this for at least an hour building different tracks and ramps. If I would of known it would keep him quiet and content that long I would of invested in one a long time ago.

Naughty or Nice
We took Aiden to get his picture taken with Santa today expecting to have a screaming kid. I was all ready for telling them to just take the picture....you have to have one crying picture with every kid...LOL.
Daddy decided to also get some pictures of him while mommy was getting ready. Why is it that daddy can always get half way decent pictures but when mommy takes them they suck. Oh well here ya go.
if I am looking like this?
I promise I didn't have my hand
around my camels neck

On Christmas 2006 he was 13 months old and the best present anyone of us could of gotten that year. We love you little guy. Mom's favorite present of all.

Aiden's first gingerbread house
We decided to let Aiden attempt his first gingerbread house with a little assistance from daddy and Clara. He was real interested in it but had trouble understanding the concept of putting the candy on the house. Naked gingerbread house
WOW, look at all that candy.
WOW, look at all that candy.
Eating the icing after we made it.
You didn't just see me eat that piece daddy

My elves
I had to do this to see what my monkeys looked like as elves. We all laughed so much we were crying.
Hey, I just made a total elf of myself. Check it out by clicking the link below.

My first gift
A fellow blogging mommy has given me and a few other mommies this as a Christmas gift from her and her family. It is absolutely precious and brought tears to my eyes before I even saw that me and Aiden were in it. Thanks again Angel for this beautiful gift. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

You see what you want the world to be and you decide to BE the change. You aren't content to close your eyes to it. I am so deeply grateful to be a part of such a dynamic group of people. Today I have a Christmas gift for you. This is especially dedicated to all the mommas out there opening their hearts and homes to little ones who have no greater wish than to have a family. It WILL be a merry Christmas for so many little ones this year because of you. YOU are my hero.

This FFF is for both Aiden and his big sis, Kelsey. Kelsey and Domo are by far Aiden's most favorite people to hang out with and right now things aren't going well for his two favorite people. Aiden wants his big sis and Dip- uh- dee to know we love them and everything will work out as long as you keep fighting for what you really want. Keep your head up guys.

How can I get mad?
You know those days when if you hear your child be selfish one more time you will pull your hair out? Aiden's favorite word right now is "my" which is his version of mine. He will get mad at his sisters for touching one of his toys and look at them and scream "my"or he will get mad at the cat for laying on his blanket and scream "my". Well I was getting him dressed today and when I stood him up to pull up his pants he put his little arms around my neck and kissed me and said "my mommy". How can I get mad at that?

Happy 2nd Birthday Aiden
I know this is suppossed to be a post about Aiden's birtday but mommy is having a sad day accepting that her babies are getting older and her youngest baby is now two. Where does the time go? My oldest daughter is a senior in highschool and will be graduating and heading off to college next fall, my stepdaughter will be getting her license any day now and my youngest daughter is into stealing "my" makeup and shoes, and then we have little Aiden who I want to put in a box so he can't get any bigger. I don't want my kiddos getting older and growing up.
I have also had Aiden's birthmother on my mind all day today....wondering how she is feeling today knowing that the baby she placed for adoption to give a better life, is now a toddler and she won't get to watch him grow up and become a man. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU Angelica for choosing life for "our" precious son. We love him more and more every day. He is the joy of so many people's lives and "you" Angelica are just as special and loved by all of us as "our" Aiden.
Ok guys, sorry for being so down on such a great day as Aiden's birthday. I have said my piece and will now move onto the pictures we were able to get today.
Aiden in his birthday suit
This is a hideous picture but I thought it
was funy with all of us in the different
hats that Aiden put on us.
You can't tell in this picture but his shirt says
"Birthday Boy' and the truck is carrying
birthday candles
We had a very early lunch dinner thing at
Olive Garden with some of our family and then
headed home for cake and ice cream
It's my party and I'll cry if I want to

Aiden and cousin Joshua playing
blowing the candles out over and over again.
He would blow them out and then we had to
relight them probably 5 more times.
We never did get through singing all of Happy
Birthday before he would have them blown out.
