Christmas pics

I promise to try and get Christmas pics loaded later today or this weekend. With sick kids, sick mommy and other things going on in the house we haven't had time to do to much of anything lately.

Two years ago.

Merry Christmas to everyone.
Two years ago on this day, Jody and I sat on the couch watching movies and wondering what our other children were doing since they were spending this Christmas Eve with their other parent. All was quiet except for the sound of the movie when the door bell rang. When we opened the front door there wasn't a person there but an envelope from FedEx with our names on it. We weren't expecting anything, and being the goofy people we are we didn't think to look to see who it was from, so what a HUGE surprise it was to open it and see the first picture of our son. We set with tears in our eyes as we looked through our referral packet and oooohed and ahhhhed at our tiny, beautiful son. What a Christmas present we received that year and it just keeps on giving.
Our referral picture. At 4 days old he weighed
5 lbs and was 18 inches long. When we received
his referral package he was a day shy of being a
month old.
Here is our beautiful baby today. He is the
light of our lives and brings so much joy
to our family. Thanks for bringing so
much happiness and adventure into our
family sweet boy.

We hope everyone has a safe and

happy Christmas season.

Thought of the day

After doing a million loads of laundry today
I have decided that the world should become
a nudist colony. I am going on strike from this
stuff....UGGHHHHH.

Harper and the first Christmas get together of the year

Harper came over to play today while her mommy was at the doctor and Aiden didn't seem to think it was to cool to have to share his toys. I knew this was gonna be a rough few hours because these two fight like cats and dogs whenever they are together but once Aiden figured out he had to share they had a good ole time together.

We also had the first Christmas get together with daddy's family last night.
Harper making her house
Aiden throwing his fit because he didn't want to share

Sitting back and taking it all in.

I guess its not so bad to share my toys..but she's
not taking any of them home mom.

Megan seems to be saying...do you think we will
get in trouble if we push Lennon out of his chair

game

Cory being goofy

God only knows what these three were up too.

Since this is the time of year for families and friends to gather together I thought what better time then now to use this picture of my kiddos from last Christmas. This was Aiden's first Christmas home(2006) and it was the best Christmas we all had had in a very long time. We hope everyone is having a joyous holiday season so far. Our trees are up, shoppings done, Christmas cards mailed and the gifts are wrapped and under the trees. We have even mailed out the gifts that had to be mailed. We have our first Christmas get together with Jody's family on the 18th and then have our Christmas with my family on the 24th at mom's and then Christmas at my brother's on Christmas day. Then we have New Years and hope to be in Ohio celebrating with the best of friends. Happy Holidays everyone.

Little boys and their toys

Aiden got a belated birthday gift from my ex inlaws...yes they still come around. They were so happy that "they" finally had a grandchild that was a boy in the family. I guess its nice to still be considered family after being divorced from their son for 10 yrs now. Anyway, you would of thought they hung the moon the way Aiden ooooheeed and ahhhhhed over this race car set. Him and daddy played with this for at least an hour building different tracks and ramps. If I would of known it would keep him quiet and content that long I would of invested in one a long time ago.

Naughty or Nice

We took Aiden to get his picture taken with Santa today expecting to have a screaming kid. I was all ready for telling them to just take the picture....you have to have one crying picture with every kid...LOL.
Daddy decided to also get some pictures of him while mommy was getting ready. Why is it that daddy can always get half way decent pictures but when mommy takes them they suck. Oh well here ya go.

Do you think Santa will buy that I have been good
if I am looking like this?

I promise I didn't have my hand
around my camels neck

I love this picture

Aiden is not to sure about the Christmas tree
in his room and any time he is in there he
always keeps an eye on it.
Yes auntie Lisa, I did put my sweetie Sophia
in the picture with me.
Now to the Santa picture.
He wasn't to sure about this guy either but
at least he set there.

Aiden's first gingerbread house

We decided to let Aiden attempt his first gingerbread house with a little assistance from daddy and Clara. He was real interested in it but had trouble understanding the concept of putting the candy on the house. Naked gingerbread house

WOW, look at all that candy.

Eating the icing after we made it.

You want me to do what with my candy?

You didn't just see me eat that piece daddy

OH MY GOSH daddy don't waste all that

candy on that house.

If I have to help I guess I will spit a

piece of candy on there

Maybe I will just crush this house

so I don't have to put anymore

candy on it.

The finished product.

It was funny to watch him do this but he sure didn't want to give his candy up. I wish I would of taken a picture of the table after they did it....it was covered in icing and candy was all over the floor.

My elves

I had to do this to see what my monkeys looked like as elves. We all laughed so much we were crying.

Hey, I just made a total elf of myself. Check it out by clicking the link below.

My first gift

A fellow blogging mommy has given me and a few other mommies this as a Christmas gift from her and her family. It is absolutely precious and brought tears to my eyes before I even saw that me and Aiden were in it. Thanks again Angel for this beautiful gift. I hope everyone enjoys it as much as I did.

Today I have a Christmas gift for you. This is especially dedicated to all the mommas out there opening their hearts and homes to little ones who have no greater wish than to have a family. It WILL be a merry Christmas for so many little ones this year because of you. YOU are my hero.
